Canadian Scientific Lab Systems attended the 2024 SLCan Sustainable Laboratory Conference November 18-20th, 2024. This year’s theme was “Sustaining the Industry for the Next Generation”.
We shared our adaptable laboratory equipment and furniture offerings with our community, highlighting the sustainable impact of our flexible lab designs, and showcasing our ability to meet our client’s goals for sustainability, energy efficiency, and safety in the lab.
As a member of SLCan, our aim is to make laboratories the most sustainable environments possible. Sustainability has shifted from a secondary consideration to a core principle in lab design. It brings together professionals from both the public and private sectors, including academic, hospital, and national labs, as well as experts in sustainability, design, and lab products. SLCan’s focus is on fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation to make laboratories more environmentally responsible.
SLCan’s mission is to establish Canada as a global leader in lab sustainability, focusing on climate rehabilitation, carbon reduction, and responsible energy use. SLCan addresses various challenges such as air management, hazardous materials, green technologies, and funding, working to ensure that laboratories operate efficiently and sustainably throughout their lifecycle—from design to daily operations.
