Project Spotlight: Alexandria Real Estate / Paraza Pharma Inc.

Opportunity

Canadian Scientific partnered with Ombrage Construction Inc. to supply and install specialized laboratory furniture for a major redevelopment project in Montréal, Québec. Led by Alexandria Real Estate—an industry leader in converting office properties into state-of-the-art life sciences facilities—the space was designed for tenant Paraza Pharma Inc., a Montréal-based drug discovery company.

Response

In collaboration with Baltimore-based architectural firm Ewing Cole, we outfitted over 25,000 square feet across two floors and 30 individual labs. The scope included 107 Air Master Systems Solution Series fume hoods, casework from both the Air Master Systems Standard and Titan Adaptable Furniture lines, and countertops in WilsonArt Carbon Black Phenolic and Durcon Black Onyx Epoxy. Fixtures throughout were supplied by WaterSaver Faucet Co.

Awarded in 2024 and completed in 2025, the project highlights Canadian Scientific’s expertise in delivering highly customized, technically advanced laboratory environments in close coordination with design and construction teams.
